The development of the new Tuff™ cooler focused on the needs of construction and trades workers, who represent a significant percentage of the total lunch carrier user population. Construction workers, as well as outdoor enthusiasts, were looking for a durable meal and beverage carrier that can survive in a rough use environment and offer additional storage for items that do not require thermal insulation.
BSi responded with a unique design that exceeded the key requirements. Its features include:
• A durable hard sided construction that withstands the rough environments
• Comfortable shoulder straps and a foldout carrying handle
• A smooth lid surface that doubles as a seating surface during lunch breaks
• A soft sided storage pocket for personal items (i.e. keys, cell phones, pagers, pens, etc.)
• Cup holders and storage netting
• A unique side pocket with bungee cord that can hold thermos carafes, soda bottles, jackets, or picnic blankets
Tuff™ coolers are designed to visually reflect their durability and functionality. Rather than making an inappropriate fashion statement (no more Barbie style lunch box for Mr. Tough Guy) the design language is compatible with design trends in the tool and
outdoor sports categories.
