Brooks Stevens, Inc. ("Brooks Stevens", "we") is an industrial design and engineering firm at 5400 N 118th Ct, Milwaukee, WI 53225, USA. This policy explains what information we collect through brooksstevens.com, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have.

What we collect

We collect information in four ways.

• The Design Intelligence Diagnostic. When you complete the diagnostic and ask to see your results, we collect your first and last name, work email, company, an approximate annual revenue range, your eight answers, the scores derived from them, and the result tier. We also record that the diagnostic was the source of your enquiry.
• Contact and programme brief forms. When you send us a message or a programme brief, we collect what you enter in the form, including your name, email and anything you tell us about your programme.
• Booking a call. When you book a call through Calendly, Calendly collects your name, email and the time you choose and passes them to us.
• Site analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 and HubSpot tracking to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, the path taken through the site, approximate location, device and browser, and, where a cookie allows it, whether a visit connects to a form you later submit. These tools set cookies. See Cookies below.

How we use it

• To show you your diagnostic results and to explain them if you ask.
• To respond to your enquiry and, if you ask for one, to arrange and hold a call.
• To keep a record of our contact with you in our customer system so that we do not ask you the same questions twice.
• To understand which pages and articles are useful and to improve the site.
• To send you occasional articles or updates from Brooks Stevens, only where you have agreed to that or where we have an existing business relationship with you. Every such email carries an unsubscribe link.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We use a small number of service providers who process it on our behalf and under our instructions.

• HubSpot, our customer system of record. Diagnostic submissions, contact forms and site tracking data are stored there.
• Google Analytics, for site usage statistics.
• Calendly, for call booking.
• monday.com, which hosts some of our enquiry forms.
• SiteGround, which hosts this website and holds server logs.

We will also disclose information where the law requires it.

Cookies and consent

Google Analytics and HubSpot set cookies to recognise a returning browser and to measure site usage. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, the site still works, and your diagnostic results still display, but we may not be able to connect your visit to a later enquiry. Where the law in your location requires consent before analytics cookies are set, we ask for it through the banner on the site.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and diagnostic records for as long as we have a business reason to, which is normally while we are in contact with you and for a period afterwards in case you come back. Analytics data is retained on the default settings of the tools named above. You can ask us to delete your record at any time, see below.

Your choices

• You can unsubscribe from any email we send using the link in that email.
• You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@brooksstevens.com and we will respond within 30 days.
• You can block cookies in your browser at any time.

If you are in a jurisdiction that gives you further rights over your personal information, such as the EU, the UK, or a US state with a consumer privacy law, those rights apply and you can exercise them by the same email address.

Security

Information you submit is sent over an encrypted connection and stored with the providers named above, each of which publishes its own security practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is for businesses and their staff. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be flagged on this page.
